This painting is inspired by Colorado’s night skies. I love seeing the milky way above the mountains and taking inspiration for my artwork from the magical, starry displays. In nature seeing violet hues in particular is a magical experience for me and I love exploring that feeling in painting.

The wood round is  made of natural, lightweight balsa wood. The circumference of the slice has natural wood bark. The edges and back are varnished in mat as well as the front of the painting. There is a hook on the back for hanging on the wall. Additionally there is a signed certificate on the back with details about the art. The painting is approximately 14″ in diameter on the longest side – each wood slice is unique in size and shape.
