This painting is inspired by starry night skies in the mountains. I typically paint Mountain West landscapes here in the United States, mostly inspired by Colorado where I live. But following a holiday vacation in Costa Rica, I came back mesmerized by the lush greenery of the countryside. I feel that this new painting emulates some of those far away tropical vibes I so enjoyed exploring in that magical land. It can feel especially magical if a bright moon rises up in the middle of the night.

The wood round is  made of natural, lightweight balsa wood. The circumference of the slice has natural wood bark. The edges and back are varnished in mat as well as the front of the painting. There is a hook on the back for hanging on the wall. Additionally there is a signed certificate on the back with details about the art.
