Colorado Mountain Night XI ~ 13″x10″ Basswood Painting

Colorado Mountain Night XI, acrylic paint on basswood slice,  Approx. 13″x10″, 2023

This painting is inspired by Colorado’s night skies. I love seeing the milky way above the mountains and taking inspiration for my artwork from the magical, starry displays.

The wood slice is  made of natural, lightweight American Basswood. The length of the slice has a live edge, a natural wood bark. The edges and back are varnished in satin as well as the front of the painting. There is a hook on the back for hanging on the wall. Additionally there is a signed certificate on the back with details about the art. The painting is 13″ in on the longest side and approximately 9-10″ on the shorter sides – each wood slice is unique in size and shape.
