Rocky Mountain Evening Glow IV, acrylic on canvas board, 12″x16″ (13.5″x17.5″ includes a black colored floating frame), 2024
This painting is part of my exploration of a variety of magic hour scenes in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the San Luis Valley of Colorado. The inspiration came from the wintery views seen from my sculpture park in Mosca near the Great Sand Dunes National Park. This particular piece is reflective of the moon rising from behind the Sangres while the sun sets behind the San Juans to the West giving the moon a beautiful, mesmerizing pink glow. Due to the nature of this playful, experimental process of exploring a single theme in a group of paintings, I am offering all the paintings that come out of the project at a very competitive rate, much lower than any framed painting this size I’ve ever painted. It is listed at about a 1/3 of a typical painting this size and I hope that this gives the opportunity to folks to get a nice size painting for an unusual price – shipping included plus a couple stickers!
The painting is varnished in gloss with a shimmer of tiny, subtle glitter sparkles. It has a signed certificate of authenticity on the back as well as a hanging wire and a black colored gallery style floating frame. Limited Time Free US Shipping (value of $40).
